In the Corinthiakos Gulf live approximately 250-300 individuals.
There are 4 species of dolphins that coexist, described below.

Striped Dolphin
Scientific name: Delphinus delphis
It weighs 70-100 kg and its size varies from 1,5 to 2 meters.
It can swim at speeds that can reach 50 km/hr.
It feeds on small pelagic fish such as sardines and on cephalopods.
It lives up to 20-25 years.
Scientific name: Stenella coerueloalba
It weighs 80-120kg and its size varies from 1,7 to 2,2 meters.
It can swim at speeds that can reach 50 km/hr.
It feeds on cephalopods and on cod.
It lives up to 35-50 years.
Bottlenose Dolphin
Risso's dolphin
Scientific name: Tursiops truncatus
It weighs 250-350kg and its size varies from 2,5 to 3 meters.
It can swim at speeds that can reach 40 km/hr.
It feeds on various fish such as sardines, anchovies, mullets and on cephalopods.
It lives up to 35-40 years.
Scientific name: Grampus griseus
It weighs 350-400kg and its size varies from 3,5 to 4 meters.
It can swim at speeds that can reach ?? km/hr.
It feeds on cephalopods.
